2008 Toyota Tundra

The 2008 Toyota Tundra is the next step in Toyota's quest to become a serious competitor for the big three domestic full size pickup manufacturers.

This truck can tow, carry passengers comfortably, and its safe. Those three things combined make it a likable proposition for anyone. They didn't make many changes to the design from the previous year because they were so happy with what they had done.

The upgraded full size version has really made this truck suitable for any work use that people were only primarily utilizing domestic makes for previously.

In addition to having the work capacity and power of any domestic model, it is very comfortably appointed inside the cabin, and the base models are relatively affordable compared to the competition. This combines to make the 2008 Toyota Tundra a great buy for anyone who needs a good truck.

2007 Toyota Tundra

For the 2007 Toyota Tundra, the engine is finally reaching a size that will provide enough power to give it a fighting chance against the big three competitors.

The 271 hp engine really provides enough power to make it a more than viable work truck, and for someone that needs a model with even more power, there is the 5.7 L V8 engine. This engine will put out 381 hp, and truly makes it a champion in its class.

The smaller engine models come with a five speed automatic that was introduced in 2005, but the bigger engine gets a six speed transmission that is geared specifically to provide more power in low range and greater fuel economy when on the highway.

This sort of intelligent design is the greatest weapon the 2007 Toyota Tundra has to offer.

2005 Toyota Tundra

The 2005 Toyota Tundra has gone through some major changes and alterations for '05. These trucks are available in V6 or V8, and both engines have seen a power increases for this year.

The transmissions have also been changed, and the result is an overall more powerful and more efficient version of the Tundra. The V6 engine puts out 245 hp which is a very considerable increase over the previous year's model.

The V8 also adds on an extra 42 hp. The transmissions, that were formerly four speed automatics, have been increased to a five speed automatic in both models.

The 2005 Toyota Tundra's redesigns make it a much more serious contender to compete with the American full size trucks that have dominated the work truck market for so many years.

For someone looking for a reasonable and affordable new truck by a foreign auto maker, this is an excellent choice.
